The American Council on Germany will host a discussion and luncheon on “War, Resilience, and Europe’s Security Future” with Staatsminister Florian Hahn, Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office.

Florian Hahn is a German politician serving as Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt). A long-standing member of the German Bundestag, he represents the Christian Social Union (CSU) and has built his career around European security and defense policy.
Before joining the Foreign Office leadership, Mr. Hahn was the CDU/CSU parliamentary group’s defense policy spokesperson and previously its European policy spokesperson, roles that made him a prominent voice on NATO, transatlantic relations, and Germany’s security posture. In his current post, he supports Germany’s foreign minister on political, foreign, and security policy priorities, with a particular focus on Europe and the transatlantic partnership.
