The Philadelphia Warburg Chapter aims to actively engage those interested in transatlantic relations through discussions and lectures. The Chapter works closely with other internationally-focused organizations based in Philadelphia such as the German-American Chamber of Commerce, the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and Eisenhower Fellowship.
The Chapter typically hosts luncheons at the offices of Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads. Events are generally attended by individuals working in the business community with an interest in German-American relations. Recently, the Chapter has hosted speakers like Ronald J. Granieri, (2000 ACG Young Leader) Director of Research, Lauder Institute for International Management at the University of Pennsylvania and Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, on the importance of the EU-US partnership as well as Dr. Daniel Klingenfeld, Head of the Director’s Staff at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), on the Paris Climate Agreement.
One highlight was an event on the occasion of the signing of a sister city agreement by Frankfurt’s Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann and Mayor Michael Nutter of Philadelphia.
