The Philadelphia Warburg Chapter aims to actively engage those interested in transatlantic relations through discussions and lectures. The Chapter works closely with other internationally-focused organizations based in Philadelphia such as the German-American Chamber of Commerce, the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and Eisenhower Fellowship.
The Chapter typically hosts luncheons at the offices of Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads. Events are generally attended by individuals working in the business community with an interest in German-American relations. In 2017, Philadelphia held discussions with speakers like Dr. Eckart Woertz, Senior Research Fellow at the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB) and Scientific Advisor to the Kuwait Chair at Sciences Po in Paris; Christine Benz, D.B.A., Training Manager at TRUMPF Inc.; Dr. Patrick Keller, Coordinator for Foreign and Security Policy at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Berlin; and Prof. Dr. Birgit Glorius, Associate Professor for Human Geography of East Central Europe at Chemnitz University of Technology.
