Julian Heißler is based in Washington DC and writes for the German weekly Wirtschaftswoche. Before his move to the United States he covered German national politics in Berlin for a variety of news outlets. He is a graduate of Freie University Berlin and Hamburg Media School. In addition to his journalistic work, he published a book in 2023 that deals with the positive and negative perceptions of the American concept of freedom titled “Traum oder Albtraum.”
