
Director of Programs
Robin Cammarota is the Director of Programs at the American Council on Germany, where she oversees the organization’s portfolio of transatlantic initiatives for young professionals, including the flagship American-German Young Leaders Conference, fellowships, study tours, and leadership missions. She is the key point person for conferences and symposia in the United States and abroad. Since joining the ACG, she has played a central role in shaping programs that foster dialogue on pressing issues in U.S.-German relations. She joined the staff of the ACG in June 2009 as Fellowship Coordinator, later becoming the Fellowship Manager in 2013, Program Director and Digital Strategist in 2016, and Senior Program Director in 2022.
She holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Mercy University and a bachelor’s degree in German language and literature, with a focus on women’s studies, from CUNY Hunter College. During the pandemic, she completed an advanced certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania, among other certificate programs. She has also studied the German language at Europa-Kolleg in Kassel, Germany, and Deutsches Haus at NYU. She is often asked to be a guest speaker on social cohesion and DEI in transatlantic relations.
