DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The American Council on Germany will host an evening discussion and reception with Dr. James Bell\, Vice President of Global Strategy for Pew Research Center. \nThere will be no charge to attend this event. Register here or email events@acgusa.org. \n  \nDr. James Bell is the Vice President of Global Strategy at Pew Research Center. He is responsible for the Center’s long-range planning and institutional development\, with a special emphasis on new research initiatives and the Center’s international expansion. He oversees a diverse range of projects\, including the Center’s annual\, multi-country Global Attitudes survey\, global assessments of middle class growth\, regional studies of religion and social change\, and comparative analyses of migration\, ethnicity\, and cultural identity. Prior to joining the Pew Research Center\, Bell served as a senior official at the U.S. State Department\, most recently as Director of International Opinion Research. Bell supported strategic communication teams at the State Department and White House and regularly consulted on U.S. government efforts to combat violent extremism. Since joining the Pew Research Center\, Bell has authored a number of articles\, including Russians Have Their Own Ideas of Democracy\, Will Enthusiasm for Democracy Endure in Egypt and Elsewhere?\, The World’s Muslims: Unity and Diversity and Religion in Latin America: Widespread Change in a Historically Catholic Region. Bell has appeared on CNN\, CNBC\, Fox News\, NPR\, CBS Radio\, and BBC World Service Radio\, and has presented internationally\, including at events organized by the U.N. and EU. \nSpecial thanks to CMS Law.
