DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The ACG will host a breakfast briefing with Metin Hakverdi\, Member of the German Bundestag (SPD). \nMetin Hakverdi joined the SPD in 2002\, and has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013. He serves on the Bundestag’s Committee on European Union Affairs and on the Finance Committee. He is the Chairman of the USA/North America Working Group within the SPD Parliamentary Group and a member of the German-American Parliamentary Friendship Group in the German Bundestag. \nBefore being elected to the Bundestag\, Mr. Hakverdi was a member of the Parliament of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg from 2008 to 2013\, where he was on the Budget Committee and the Committee of Public Companies and Assets. He attended high school in Simi Valley\, California\, in 1985/86 and studied law at the Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel and at Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law. He became licensed to practice law in 2000.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
