DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The American Council on Germany and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung will host a discussion and reception with Mikko Huotari\, the Head of the Foreign Relations Program at the Mercator Institute for China Studies in Berlin. \nRSVP (acceptances only) to the American Council on Germany\nat 212-826-3636 or events@acgusa.org. \nMikko Huotari heads the Mercator Institute for China Studies’ program on China’s foreign relations. His research focuses on China’s foreign policy\, China-Europe relations\, and regional order in Asia. He has published extensively on China’s global investment strategy and economic relations with Europe\, as well as on geopolitical shifts related to China’s rise as a global security actor. Before joining MERICS\, he taught International Political Economy and Chinese Foreign Policy at the University of Freiburg. He gained experience in policy-oriented China research at the German-Chinese Law Institute in Nanjing\, the German Embassy in Beijing\, and the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Berlin while studying International Politics and International Law in Freiburg\, Nanjing\, and Shanghai.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
