Until October 2016\, he was responsible for the opinion page. From late 2000 to 2005\, he was the newspaper’s Washington bureau chief. He joined Der Tagesspiegel in 1991 as foreign affairs editor – focusing on security policy\, transatlantic relations\, and the Middle East. \nFrom 1989 to 1991\, Mr. Lehming worked as a personal assistant and speechwriter for former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt. He studied Philosophy\, German Literature\, and European History in Hamburg.  \n\nMany thanks to Arnall Golden Gregory LLP for hosting this event. \nThis event is free for ACG members and $30 for non-members.
