SUMMARY:Can the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council Succeed?
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Nearly 12 months since it was created\, on May 15 and 16 the co-chairs of the U.S.-EU Technology and Trade Council (TTC) are meeting for the second time in Paris\, France. The first meeting took place in Pittsburgh\, PA last September – and the stated objective was to align U.S. and European approaches to key issues like AI and global supply chains\, deepen transatlantic ties\, and encourage the spread of democratic and market-oriented values. While these objectives might still hold\, the world has changed since the first meeting. Russia’s war in Ukraine is likely to dominate the agenda\, but U.S. and European officials will also have to talk about how to develop a common approach China.
