DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The ACG will host a breakfast briefing with Dr. Jörg Kukies\, State Secretary for the German Federal Ministry of Finance.  \nRSVP (acceptances only) to the American Council on Germany at 212-826-3636 or events@acgusa.org. \nDr. Jörg Kukies was appointed the State Secretary for Financial Market Policy and European Policy at the Federal Ministry of Finance in April 2018.  Prior to this\, he served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs AG and Managing Director of the Frankfurt branch of Goldman Sachs International from 2014 to 2018. From 2011 to 2014\, he was the Head of Equity Derivatives for Europe\, the Middle East and Affair for Goldman Sachs International in London. From 2004 to 2011\, he served as the Associate and later the Head of the Equities Division for Germany and Austria for Goldman Sachs International in Frankfurt. \nHe holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago\, Graduate School of Business; a master’s degree in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; and studied Sciences Economiques at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Boston Warburg Chapter and the World Affairs Council Boston will host discussion and luncheon with Ricklef Beutin\, Visiting Fellow in the Europe Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).  \nAdmission is free\, but RSVP required at https://bit.ly/2TPEmhW \nRicklef Beutin\, prior to joining CSIS\, served as chief of staff to German Federal Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel. Between 2011 and 2015\, he served as chief of staff to several state secretaries of the German Federal Foreign Office. From 2015 to 2016\, Ricklef Beutin headed the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) division and served as deputy head of the Task Force for the German OSCE Chairmanship in 2016. He holds an M.A. in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a degree in law from the University of Bonn\, Germany. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
