A global communications and public affairs advisor, Ms. O’Donnell has worked at the highest levels of the government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors, including roles at the White House, the Clinton Foundation, and Fortune 500 brands. After moving to the Bay Area from Berlin, she joined Airbnb in 2014 as the Global Head of External Affairs, working on strategic communications, partnerships, and civic engagements for the growing hospitality company.
Prior to Airbnb, Ms. O’Donnell served as Director of Communications for Dr. Jill Biden as a senior aide in the Office of the Vice President at the White House. In this role, Ms. O’Donnell developed and implemented media outreach campaigns on national and global issues, including access to higher education, preventing sexual assault, and raising awareness and support for America’s military families and veterans.
Prior to the White House, Ms. O’Donnell served as a member of the Clinton Foundation senior management team, advising President Clinton and key Foundation stakeholders on marketing, branding, and communications strategies. She is a veteran of many state, national, and global campaigns for political offices and causes of concern – from presidential contests to global appeals for humanitarian aid.
The World Economic Forum named Ms. O’Donnell a Young Global Leader in 2011, and she serves on the Board of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, which works to uphold the rights of women around the world. Ms. O’Donnell lives in Menlo Park, California, with her husband, Cassidy Morgan, and two sons, claims she never finishes a book-club book despite her best intentions, and is a Fussball fanatic.
