Brian Klein is a Co-founder and Managing Member of Steelhead Partners, LLC. Steelhead Partners is a Seattle-based investment management company started in January 1997.
Prior to founding Steelhead Partners, Mr. Klein was an executive Director for the international investment bank Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he worked five years in the equities division, both in Europe and in the U.S. During this time, he was one of the original members of the team that helped start Goldman’s office in Frankfurt, Germany. Upon leaving the company, he served for five years as an advisory consultant for the Seattle office of Goldman, Sachs.
Before joining Goldman, Sachs & Co., Mr. Klein spent three and a half years at the Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich, Germany, where his last position was the Assistant to the Director of Investment Banking. In total he has lived and worked eight and a half years in Germany. During his time in Germany, Mr. Klein was the Founder and President of the International Business Club e.V. Munich, which was the largest national association of young business professionals in the country.
Besides the ACG, he is on the board of the US Soccer Foundation. He is a former board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and AS Roma.
Mr. Klein received his Bachelor’s in History from Texas Christian University and earned his MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University. He was a Young Leader in 1989.
